Notification of employment (dismissal) of the foreign citizen

Timely notification of the state authorities of employment relations with foreign citizens is the guarantee of absence of financial and administrative consequences.

This procedure is regulated by the Order of the Federal Migration Service dated June 28, 2010 No 147 "On the forms and order of notification of the Federal Migration Service of engagement of foreign citizens into employment activity on the territory of the Russian Federation".

According to this law, the Directorate of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation must be notified within the period, not exceeding 3 days, after signing/termination of the contract with the foreign employee. The notice shall indicate the details of the employing company and information on each foreign employee, with whom the employment contract and civil law contract for fulfillment of works was concluded or terminated. The notice shall be submitted in hard copy or in the electronic form. Administrative responsibility is envisaged for violation of the procedure of submission of the notice to the Directorate of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation.
